The Belgian pilsner size
While the Netherlands opts for a small lager glass, Belgium sticks to a smaller pour that you drink while it is still cold. The short stem keeps your hand away from the glass, while the slightly tapered rim supports the head of foam. Twenty-five centiliters also corresponds exactly to the bottle size, so the beer fits in all at once with room for foam. In practice, this also means less spillage, since you do not need to tilt the glass to keep the head under control.
