58 mm double-spout portafilter, made for espresso machines with an E61 group. The body is made of stainless steel and is heavy enough to retain the group’s heat between two shots. With a second portafilter on hand, you can keep working during busy periods without waiting.
Why use a second portafilter
When working with just one portafilter, you have to stop after every shot: knock out the puck, rinse, and refill. With a spare portafilter, you can fill and tamp the next one while the first is still in the group, which quickly adds up to valuable time saved on a busy morning. The double spout lets you pull two cups at once from the same puck, which is handy when an order calls for two espressos. Place a knock box next to it to keep your station clean.
Fit and maintenance
Before ordering, check which group type your machine has: this portafilter fits an E61 group with a 58 mm basket, the most common size in professional coffee service. Rinse the portafilter after every shot and keep it warm in the group, because a cold portafilter draws heat away from your extraction.
