The 30 cl long drink glass is the tallest of the three and has room for ice plus mixer. The 25 cl tumbler is lower and wider and sits heavier in the hand, which is pleasant for water or a short drink on the rocks. The 24 cl wine and water glass has a slightly tapered rim and is meant as a table glass that can handle both jobs. If you want one style on the table, combine the table glass with the tumbler and keep the long drink glass on hand for when things get mixed.

Pressed glass with relief looks its best with light behind it: do not put the glasses in the shadow of a dish, but where a candle or the window plays right through them. The long drink glass is the logical choice for a gin and tonic: fill it to the top with ice, pour the gin and add the tonic down the back of a spoon, so the fizz stays in. For an aperol spritz, the 24 cl table glass works well if you would rather not use a large bowl.

Pressed glass is thicker than blown glass and therefore less sensitive to knocks, but more sensitive to rapid changes in temperature. So do not pour boiling water into a glass that has just come cold out of the cupboard, or the other way round. These glasses can go in the dishwasher without a problem. Stand them upright and apart, because relief against relief scratches sooner than smooth against smooth. A haze in the grooves is limescale from the water and comes off again with vinegar and water.
