A bottle that is brought to the table is looked at before it is poured. This gold-colored wine cooler, measuring 12 by 18 centimeters, immediately makes that first impression a good one: its warm metallic sheen catches candlelight and spotlights, elevating an ordinary bottle into something that suits the occasion. Behind that appearance is solid functionality — the slim, tall shape is designed for a standard wine or champagne bottle, leaving a layer of air around it in which chilled air can circulate. As a result, the temperature remains stable much longer than when you leave the bottle on the table by itself.
Why the shape does the work
With a cooler that is too wide, cold air sinks and the bottle warms from above. This model’s close fit keeps that cool air around the entire body of the bottle. Fill it with a mixture of ice and cold water, and the contact surface conducts the cold more quickly than ice cubes alone — a trick every sommelier uses but that rarely appears on the packaging.
Finish and care
The gold finish is a coating applied to steel; clean it by hand with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, never in the dishwasher. This keeps the sheen even for years and prevents dull spots from forming where the cooler is handled most often.
