This Exquisit wine glass holds 48 centiliters, stands 21.5 centimeters tall, and has a foot measuring 8.9 centimeters. It is the medium size in the series and therefore the most versatile option if you want to have only one type of wine glass at home. Light to medium-bodied red wines are shown to their best advantage here, while a full-bodied white wine such as an oak-aged Chardonnay also gets plenty of room. You can comfortably pour a standard serving without the glass looking full.
Room to swirl
The extra bowl diameter compared with the smaller sizes makes more of a difference than you might expect. Swirling increases the contact area between the wine and the air, allowing closed aromas to open up more quickly. For red wines served without decanting, that can be the difference between a flat and an expressive nose.
