The difference between the two lies in the shape, and so in what you can fit inside. The 47.3 cl cocktail glass has a wide opening into which you can scoop a full layer of crushed ice without the garnish sliding off. The 53 cl long drink glass is narrower and taller, with a pineapple motif that breaks up the drink visually. First fill with crushed ice to well above halfway, shake the drink separately and then pour it over. Crushed ice melts faster than cubes, so a tiki cocktail keeps getting softer at the table, which is the intention. A mai tai gets a layer of dark rum that you pour over the back of a spoon so it stays floating on top. A pina colada wants to be blended and then goes into the wide glass. Garnish with mint, lime or a cocktail cherry.

Onis makes these glasses from tempered glass, which means they take more knocks than thin-walled crystal and are therefore suited to busy bars. They can go in the dishwasher. With the pineapple relief, bear in mind that sugar residue settles in the grooves, so give them a quick rinse before loading. Don't store them inside one another, because these models are not stackable and will jam.
