The 20.7 cl tumbler is the standard size for water, juice, and soft drinks at the table. It is small enough to refill often, which makes for more pleasant drinking than a large half-empty glass that becomes lukewarm. The 29 cl highball glass is intended for mixed drinks with ice: allow for approximately one-third ice, one-third spirits with fruit, and one-third soft drink. Build a long drink directly in the glass: first the ice, then the spirit, then the soft drink. After that, hardly any stirring is needed, because pouring already mixes it sufficiently.
