Start with the number of guests, not with the number of shapes. For six places, one set per model is enough, and that is exactly why a range is more practical than separate glasses: you can order more later without the table looking mismatched. The 38 cl is your white wine glass, the 50 cl your red. The 44 cl tumbler sits with the water glasses and is roomy enough for water with ice alongside the wine. The 21 cl flute is for the aperitif.

On a laid table the glasses go to the right, above the knife, in the order in which you use them: flute furthest away, then white, then red, with the water glass closest to hand. Pour wine to a third and water to three quarters. For the aperitif a bellini works well in the flute, with the peach puree at the bottom and the prosecco added slowly. A mimosa is the simpler version.

Adora is made of tempered soda-lime glass, which means the rim has been heat-treated and therefore takes knocks better than untreated glass. The range is dishwasher safe on a short glassware programme. Stand the bowls apart in the basket, because stems tapping against each other are the most common cause of breakage, not the wash itself.
