Fill a long drink glass right up with ice first and only then pour: a half glass of ice melts faster than a full one and waters down your drink. For a gin and tonic that means ice to the rim, then the gin, then the tonic down a spoon so the fizz stays put. A moscow mule works in the same glass if you have no copper mug. The whisky glass calls for one large block instead of four small ones, because large ice melts more slowly.

Fortune is made of Tritan crystal glass, which is lead-free and handles a dishwasher better than traditional crystal. The relief pattern on the lower part does ask for a little more attention: a film of limescale settles more easily in the grooves than on smooth glass. Rinse aid solves that, and if you wash by hand, drying with a linen cloth is enough. Store them upright in the cupboard and the air inside the glass stays fresh.
