The 35 centilitre bowl is the white wine size: a small surface, so the wine stays at temperature for longer. The 42 cl is the all-rounder for both white and light red. At 48 cl red wine gets noticeably more air, and the 64 cl is meant for the fullest bottles on the table; fill that one to about a third. The 26 cl flute is roomier than a classic narrow flute, which lets sparkling wine give off a little more aroma without you losing the bubbles. If you want to make do with two sizes, choose the 42 and the 64 cl.

Place the water glass at the top right of the plate, the wine bowl beside it and the flute behind for the aperitif. Never fill a wine bowl beyond its widest point, so you keep room to swirl. Red wine shows best at around sixteen degrees; room temperature has become too warm in most homes. With the 26 cl flute, pour in two goes so the foam can settle, for instance for a Mimosa or a Champagne Cocktail.

The series is drawn from lead-free crystal glass with titanium, with the stem pulled from the bowl rather than applied.
