Duralex Empilable

The two sizes cover different everyday moments. The 16 cl is a small glass for juice at breakfast, an espresso with water on the side, or a portion for children. The 20 cl is the standard water tumbler: enough for a decent drink and still compact on the table. If you are unsure, take the 20 cl as your basic size and the 16 cl to go with it. The key thing when stacking is to keep one size per stack. Mix the two and the walls no longer meet evenly, which can leave a glass jammed. These glasses are made for everyday use rather than the grand gesture. Water, juice, milk, lemonade, and with a little imagination a short drink on ice. Fill to about a centimetre below the rim, so nothing runs down the side when you take a stack from the cupboard while the top glass is still wet. Duralex makes Empilable from fully tempered glass. During tempering the surface cools faster than the core, creating a compressive stress that makes the glass considerably more impact-resistant than ordinary glass. If it does break, it falls apart into blunt granules instead of shards. The glasses are dishwasher safe and tolerate hot and cold liquid in quick succession. Only stack them once they are dry.
