To coffee cocktails →A French syrup maker from Bourges
Monin was founded in 1912 by Georges Monin in Bourges, in central France. It is still a family business. The brand is known worldwide for its syrups: from fruit and herbs to spices and sugar. Bartenders use them for cocktails and mocktails, while baristas use them to add flavor to coffee, such as vanilla, caramel or hazelnut.
Syrup is sugar dissolved in water, with added flavor. Because it is so concentrated, you only need a small amount: usually 1 to 2 cl in a cocktail. Monin syrups are alcohol-free. The base syrup is Sucre de Canne, made from cane sugar and filtered water. In cocktails, it replaces sugar or homemade sugar syrup, and it dissolves immediately in cold drinks too.

Mint
Mojito Mint is fresh and zesty. You taste the mint right away, even in a full cocktail with ice.
Sucre de Canne

Three ways to use Monin
Always start with a small amount and taste. Once a cocktail is too sweet, you can't bring it back into balance.
In a cocktail
1 to 2 cl syrup in the shaker, together with the spirit, fresh citrus juice and ice. A fruit syrup can replace fresh fruit or a liqueur.
Cocktail sets →As a mocktail or lemonade
2 to 3 cl syrup in a glass with ice, some fresh lemon or lime juice, and top up with sparkling water. That's how you make a refreshing lemonade without alcohol.
Mocktails →In coffee
1 to 2 cl syrup in a latte, cappuccino or iced coffee. Sucre de Canne dissolves instantly in cold coffee too, unlike regular sugar.
Coffee cocktails →Cocktails with Monin
All these classics use sugar syrup. With Monin Sucre de Canne, you always have it ready.

Old Fashioned
Whiskey, a little sugar syrup and bitters, stirred over ice.
Tom Collins
