De Kuyper Amaretto
Amaretto from Schiedam with almond at the forefront. Vanilla, lime oil, caramel and a little cognac do the rest. At 30% ABV, it's great neat after a meal, and it gives an Amaretto Sour a little more kick.

Amaretto from Schiedam, with a splash of cognac
De Kuyper Amaretto is a liqueur made with almond, vanilla, lime oil and caramel, with a little cognac. The almond comes through first. Vanilla and caramel give it a rounded taste, while the lime oil keeps it fresh. The cognac sits underneath and comes through mostly in the finish.
At 30% ABV, it's stronger than many Italian amarettos. Disaronno, for example, is 28%. You can taste the difference in a cocktail. An Amaretto Sour made with De Kuyper is less sweet and has a little more kick. De Kuyper also describes it as a digestif in its own right, so it's great served neat after a meal.
In brief
Marzipan with a warm heart
Almond and vanilla
First, sweet almond and marzipan. Then vanilla and a hint of citrus from the lime oil.
Caramel and nuts
Full-bodied and sweet, with caramel and toasted almond. At 30% ABV, it has more body than you'd expect from a liqueur.
Warm from the cognac
Warm and a little woody, with the cognac making a brief return. The finish is soft and not too long.
This is what De Kuyper amaretto tastes like when sipped neat at room temperature. With ice, it's fresher and less sweet.
From digestif to Sour
It's fine to drink it neat. Add lemon, whisky, or coffee to bring out even more.
