The Bottlebob is a plastic opener that does not remove the crown cap but makes a hole in it large enough for a straw to fit through. The cap stays on the bottle, keeping wasps and fruit flies out of your drink on a terrace or at a festival.
Why the cap stays on
An open bottle on a terrace table is an invitation to insects, and on a crowded bar there is always something that gets knocked over. With a hole in the cap, you drink through a straw while the opening remains small; if the bottle tips over, it does not empty all at once. Find suitable straws in the straws collection.
Use and maintenance
Place the opener on the crown cap and press down; it works with standard crown caps on beer and soft-drink bottles. The plastic is dishwasher-safe, which is convenient because the opener comes into direct contact with the top of the bottle. The opener is part of the Bar Professional series. Tip: keep a regular opener handy for other bottles.
