The Tiki Coconut Natural is a drinking cup designed to look like a cut-open coconut. Its rough exterior provides a good grip, even when condensation forms on the outside of the cup due to the ice. It is intended for tropical cocktails on the patio and in the home bar.
What the coconut cup is suited for
The coconut design pairs well with drinks containing coconut, pineapple, or rum: a piña colada, a Painkiller, or a non-alcoholic mix with coconut milk. Because the exterior is not smooth, the cup remains easy to hold even with wet hands, which is useful on a busy patio. Serve with crushed ice and a straw; the shape narrows slightly toward the top, helping the garnish stay in place. Combine it with the other pieces from the tiki glasses collection when serving a complete tiki menu.
Care and combining
Rinse the cup immediately after use and leave it upside down to drain. The textured exterior shows fewer fingerprints than smooth glass, but grease from coconut milk does require warm, soapy water. Do not use an abrasive sponge, as it can dull the finish. If you want to expand the tropical series, the pineapple and skull designs pair well with it, as do the straws and coasters you place on the table alongside it.
