Which glasses are part of the Soho range?
Five models: a 32 cl tumbler, a 25 cl martini glass, champagne coupes of 27.5 and 32 cl and a 38 cl highball glass. Between them they cover drinks on ice as well as stirred cocktails and long drinks.
Why does the coupe come in two sizes?
At 27.5 cl you pour a small shaken drink that sits nicely full, at 32 cl you serve more generously or use the coupe as an all-rounder. The same shape in two sizes gives you that choice without adding another type of glass.
Can I put a martini glass in the dishwasher?
You can, on a short glassware programme. Pay attention to placement above all: a wide bowl on a slender stem is the weakest point, so leave plenty of space between coupes and martini glasses so the stems never touch.
Why stir a martini instead of shaking it?
Stirring keeps a cocktail made purely of spirits clear and silky. Shaking brings air bubbles and extra meltwater into the glass, which is welcome in a sour with juice or egg but leaves a dry martini cloudy and watery.
