Every size has a job of its own. The 25 cl tumbler is the water glass at the table and the juice glass at breakfast. The 38 cl is the larger tumbler for soft drinks or a drink over ice. With long drinks the amount of mixer decides for you: 35 cl is enough for a drink with a single can of mixer, 40 cl leaves room for ice, and 47 cl is the hospitality size that takes a full tonic plus ice without reaching the rim. The 3.4 cl shot glass follows the standard shot measure. You will find more sizes among the long drink glasses.

Long drinks are built in the glass, without a shaker. Fill it to the rim with ice first, because a half-filled glass melts faster than a full one. Then the spirit goes in, and only last the mixer, poured over a bar spoon or along the side so you don't knock the fizz out of it. A cuba libre goes in the 40 cl glass, with a lime wedge squeezed in and dropped after it. For a moscow mule the 47 cl works better, because that one takes plenty of ginger beer.

Arcoroc tempers the glass after forming, which changes the stress inside the material. A tempered glass copes better with a knock against the sink or a quick swing from hot to cold than ordinary glass does. If it does break, it falls apart into blunt pieces rather than shards, which makes all the difference behind a bar. The series is dishwasher safe and stacks to a height at which the glasses don't jam together.
