The difference between the two sizes is mainly in the height, not in the diameter. The 35 centilitre long drink is narrower and taller, so carbonation escapes more slowly and your drink keeps its fizz for longer. The 32 centilitre tumbler is shorter and wider, which makes it sit more comfortably in the hand for drinks without bubbles. Choose Funky if you want a pronounced wave and Soul if it may be calmer, because in shape and capacity they are otherwise the same. Both sit among the other long drink glasses and tumblers.

In a tall glass the ratio between ice and drink holds up better: the ice stacks vertically and cools the whole column rather than only the bottom layer. That makes the 35 centilitre suitable for a Mojito, where mint and lime need room, and for a Cuba Libre where you pour the cola down the side of the glass to preserve the fizz. Stir with a long bar spoon until the outside of the glass mists over and the ice has visibly settled.

The wave pattern sits on the outside, so the inner wall stays smooth and rinses clean easily. The glasses can go in the dishwasher without concern. Where it goes wrong is in the drying, because water stays behind in the hollows of the relief and leaves limescale streaks as it dries slowly. So take the glasses out of the machine while warm and rub them dry straight away with a dry cloth.
