The series counts seven sizes and together they cover a whole menu. The 11 cl tumbler is the little glass for juice at breakfast or an aperitif, the 20 cl is the standard for soft drinks, and 26.6 and 35 cl are the sizes in which you serve a drink over ice. The long drink glasses run from 29.6 via 35 to 47.3 cl.

Choose wider than you think you need as soon as ice comes into it. Ice easily takes up a third of the glass, so a cola with four cubes already stands almost full in a 20 cl glass while there is hardly any soft drink in it.

Adventure glasses stack within the same size, and that is exactly what you buy them for. Only put them on top of each other once they are dry and at room temperature. The 35 cl tumbler is a fine glass for a gin and tonic if you would rather not use a balloon glass, and the 47.3 cl long drink has room for a Cuba Libre with ice all the way to the top. For water on the table the 29.6 cl is enough. Pour soft drinks in along the wall and not straight onto the ice, and you keep more of the fizz.

Tempered glass is stronger, but not unbreakable. The difference is in the way it gives up: where ordinary glass falls apart into shards, tempered glass breaks into smaller and blunter pieces. That is safer, but it also means a damaged rim can suddenly give way. So check rims regularly and take a chipped glass out of circulation. Beyond that the series can simply go in the dishwasher, including on a short, hot professional programme.
