The 38 cl is the smallest bowl and works for white wine and for rosé, where you want to keep the wine cool and therefore pour less at a time. The 45 cl is the middle size and the most useful if you choose only one set: roomy enough for light red wine, not so large that a glass of white disappears into it.

The 54 cl is the bowl for full-bodied red wine. The extra volume gives the wine room to breathe and lets the scent gather above the liquid, provided you pour no further than the widest point. The 24 cl flute is roomier than the usual size, so alongside sparkling wine there is space for juice or syrup.

Hold the glass by the stem, not the bowl; otherwise white wine and rosé warm up within a few minutes from your hand. Pour up to the widest point of the bowl and leave the rest of the glass empty, because that space carries the scent.

The 24 cl flute has enough volume for an aperitif with a base. Put the juice or syrup in the glass first and pour the sparkling wine in afterwards along the wall, so the foam does not come over the rim all at once.

Because the stem is drawn from the same piece of glass as the bowl, there is no seam of the kind that gives way first on applied stems. That makes the series considerably less sensitive to the turning movement in a dishwasher rack.

Place the glasses loosely in the rack and do not clamp them by the bowl. Wash on a programme with a moderate temperature and take the glasses out while they are still lukewarm; they then dry without limescale streaks on the bowl.
